UEDA Networks provide collaborative forums, both online and face-to-face, for regular engagement around topics critical in our profession and to the regions we serve. There are two ways to participate in UEDA Networks:

Monthly Convenings are casual, semi-facilitated sessions where like-minds gather to discuss news, challenges, best practices, metrics, resources, and more. Convenings are open to the public and UEDA membership is not required. UEDA members who register for a network’s convenings are automatically added to that network’s online workspace.
Online Workspaces are online forums where users can post questions to the practitioner community, upload / share resources, and collaborate on topics. Workspaces are only available to UEDA members.

UEDA has topical networks for each of our areas of practice: Talent, Innovation, and Place. You can choose your level of participation in each network depending on your professional responsibilities. Separate registration is necessary for each network. Participate in as many as you’d like!

Network Convenings: Monthly on 3rd Wednesday at 11 am ET / 8 am PT

The Innovation Network advances conversations around innovation and knowledge transfer. Innovation consists of intellectual, creative, and business processes—from ideation to implementation—that lead to application of new knowledge to solve problems of identifiable markets or user groups, or to otherwise enhance society. Innovation requires an intellectual orientation that is collaborative, transdisciplinary, problem-solving oriented, and risk-tolerant. Innovation and creativity are not limited to technology development and business formation. They lead to societal, economic, technological, policy, artistic, or cultural outcomes. In a way, we are, today, reinventing new forms, based on the original form of university economic development—Cooperative Extension—in place since the late 19th century.
